Well, at least procrastination is a universal problem. It’s time to hit the library and finish all my work before my upcoming five-week spring break.
Overseas Adventure
If all else fails, order La-La’s.
There’s no place like home, especially when it comes to home-cooked meals. The food at Leicester leaves a little bit to be desired, but at least we have a back-up option.
I’m en garde and ready to fence.
My understanding of the words foil and Frisbee changed after my first fencing training session. Let’s just say I’m not bound for an Olympic fencing team anytime soon.
And I thought we had escaped Ohio weather…
We spent a lovely Valentine’s Day in London, and I saw my first British blue sky — a rare commodity over here. Now, I’m gearing up for new adventures in week five.
The wheels on the bus go round and round… right past the bus stop.
No one likes being late for class, but it’s especially charming when you’re the foreign student as well. So I just keep trying to better familiarize myself with the bus schedule.
It’s the Fresher’s Flu.
No Tylenol for us. In England, we had to buy Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Capsules and Tunes Strawberry Menthol cough drops, a product with a decidedly better taste than its level of effectiveness. Bring on the tissues.
Home is where the… beer is?
A map of the United Kingdom hangs in Digby Hall showing where all the British students call home. Now our British hall mates added a world map with a sticky tack blob over Ohio. Yes, we’re settling in.
How did I get here?
I’m across an ocean until mid-May. I’m already getting a taste of what England has to offer, authentic British accents included.
I’ll be in London by the time you read this.
I’m packing my life away before I head overseas for spring semester. Should I bring the boots? Or that sweater? So many decisions, so little space.
