Editor says...

It's one four-letter word, but it's a mighty one.

The message of hope is sprinkled throughout our cover story, Millennials: Who we are and why we'll change how America works. It illuminates how tragedies, triumphs and technologies have shaped our generation, how the rest of the world perceives us and what all of that could mean for the future. But the underlying idea is one of change and ultimately hope.

My aim for this issue of The Burr was to give Kent State students something to read suiting every mood they have. I want it to entertain, provoke, inform.

Looking for a conversation starter? Check out how rapidly evolving technology could change how music is produced, and see if your friends agree with our list of the 27 most influential albums. Looking for something lighthearted? Learn how to make your own Cornhole boards. Different? Read about one student's double life as dairy farmer and nursing student. Profound? See how a clinic in Cleveland is reaching out to the city's sexually active youth.

From one millennial to another, I hope you like it.

Cheers,

Jackie Mantey
