To Teach is to Learn

El-Dabh categorizes himself mostly as a composer and a philosopher. Composing since age 11, 88-year-old El-Dabh has been involved in music over 75 years. Rather than teaching students about basic music theory, he gives classes about ethnomusicology, the study of the social and cultural aspects of music, from the places he has lived throughout his life—something only he can teach.

Sandy Wilson is the Co-Owner of Scribbles' Coffee Company in Kent, Ohio with her husband and son. Scribbles is located at 237 N. Water Street. The Wilsons' steady stream of costumers hail from all different kinds of backgrounds. Wh the front door opens a bell chimes, letting Sandy know that a costumer has arrived. The Wilsons' are dong their part to protect the farmers that grow the beans Scribbles brews, by buying only Fair Trade Coffee beans.

The End of the Line

For 118 years, the coasts of Geauga Lake were lined with screams, laughter and the slow, but steady clinking of chains pulling trains up massive steel hills. The aroma of fresh-cut french fries and elephant ears filled the air in Aurora, Ohio, from late April until October every summer. After September 21, 2007, this was no longer the case. The beloved Geauga Lake amusement park closed for good.
